NXP’s UCODE® RAIN RFID can provide all this information, with fast, accurate, and low-cost tracking of just about any item. Built into smart labels, UCODE RAIN RFID delivers high-speed operation in supply-chain and logistics applications, with higher anti-collision rates that improve accuracy, higher sensitivity to extend read range, and wider frequency range, with EPCglobal compliance, to support worldwide use. Each UCODE family offers its own unique set of features, with varying memory sizes, so it’s easy to find the best cost-benefit match for a given design.

The UCODE IC family provides varying memory sizes and other special features to allow the user to select the best cost-benefit option for a particular application.

Self Adjust  A feature optimizing the chip sensitivity to gain maximum performance  Supports label manufacturers to provide unified label form factors
 Memory Safeguard  Error Correction Code (ECC) that automatically detects and corrects single bit failures applied at EPC Memory as well as User Memory. Parity Checks applied for the TID  Ensures that retail data points as stored in UCODE 8 stay persistently correct over 20 years.
 Brand Identifier  A customer dedicated, unalterable 16-bit code which is programmed during chip manufacturing process into the memory  Allows brand owners to implement a simple product originality check option for their products
 Battery Mode  Supports connection of passive RFID chip to external power supply  Boosts read and write range to more than  35m when connected to external power supply
 Conditional Read Range  Reduction  Activation of read range reduction based on tag tamper alarm    condition  Supports theft deterrence
